Richard Rush, President of Rush Properties

Richard Rush was raised on Long Island. He earned his BA from the University of Pennsylvania and JD from the Washington College of Law at American University. After working for 3 years as an attorney for the NYC Corporation Counsel’s office in the Real Estate Litigation Department, he joined his family business, Rush Properties, in 1994.

Richard is currently the President of Rush Properties, which manages over 25 properties throughout Long Island and New York City, including rental apartment buildings, Coops, Condos and Shopping Centers. The portfolio includes both family-owned and third party-managed properties. His company has a long-standing reputation for quality management for over 5 decades on LI and he represents the third generation in the family business. He also is the owner and President of a residential real estate brokerage firm, Rush Realty Corp.

Richard has been actively involved with CMF for over 25 years. He has been active in other charitable and political organizations including, UJA, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and AIPAC.

Richard and his wife Jen of over 25 years live in New York City.  Jen is a jewelry designer and owner of Rush Jewelry Design.  They are proud of their 3 children, Jacob, Lindsey and Benjamin.

Greg Rush, Founder & Managing Partner
Scarp Ridge Capital Partners

Greg Rush established Scarp Ridge Capital Partners LLC (“SRC”) in 2021 to focus on distressed, value-add and opportunistic real estate investments across the United States.  SRC is focused on deploying capital into structured investment opportunities and acquiring or recapitalizing assets with a focus on hospitality and senior housing where the company has an extensive track record and deep strategic relationships.

Greg’s prior experience includes Cadre where he was a Partner, Managing Director and member of the Management and Investment Committees, a data and technology driven real estate investment management platform backed by some of the leading venture capital firms in the industry. Greg was also a Partner, Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee at Dune Real Estate Partners (“Dune”) where he spent 11 years. Greg was responsible for sourcing, executing and managing an investment portfolio which included distressed, value-add, opportunistic, and contrarian investments across multiple asset classes in the United States and Europe.  His investing experience includes investments in existing, ground-up and redevelopments including the repositioning of mixed-use projects, hotels, retail, office and residential real estate including single-family land. Prior to that, Greg was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, and held roles at Merrill Lynch and Vornado.

Prior to its sale to Colony Financial, Greg served on the Board of the Directors of NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. (NYSE:NRF), a publicly-traded, diversified commercial real estate company that was organized as a REIT. Greg also served on the Board of McArthurGlen Europe, the premier developer-owner-operator of designer outlet shopping centers in Europe.

Mr. Rush is a Full Member of the Urban Land Institute and is the former Chair for the Urban Development and Mixed-Use Council (Green Flight).  Mr. Rush sits on the Board of Trustees for the Children’s Medical Fund of NY and previously served on the board of the Melanoma Research Foundation.

Mr. Rush holds an M.B.A. (with Distinction) from the Leonard Stern School of Business at New York University and holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Rush resides on Long Island with his wife Jeanine Morris-Rush, an OB/GYN in private practice, and their four children. He is a retired youth soccer coach and enjoys running, tennis, golf, ice hockey, hiking and back country skiing.
