Heading a not-for-profit organization with a fundraising mission to support the continuing needs of a children’s hospital takes dedication, vision and organization to bring out the best of others who share the same concern for fellow human beings. Hear from CMF Executive Director Kristine Riggio and Chairman David Blumenfeld on what made them want to get involved in Children’s Medical Fund.

David Blumenfeld, CMF Chairman

“I am proud to serve as Chairman of CMF and even prouder to say that my father was past President and one of the Founding Members of CMF in 1966. I was brought up to lend my time and efforts at fundraising events alongside my mother and brother ever since I can remember. My mother was the first Women’s Division Golf Honoree, my father was Golf Honoree, and I too was Men’s Division Golf Honoree. The CMF Annual Golf Outing which began in 1975 is a great event that has grown each year. It is amazing how much we have accomplished over the years, and to date, we have given over $87 million dollars to the hospital. Having three boys of my own and two nephews, I know how important it is to have a charity that enables our community to offer the best health care available for our children. I strive to have my children continue in the path my father has led me.”

Kristine Riggio

"With over 17 years of experience in nonprofit leadership, I have dedicated my career to building strong partnerships, driving fundraising success, and making a meaningful impact. As Executive Director of CMF, I am incredibly proud to lead an organization with such a rich history of helping children and families. CMF’s mission aligns perfectly with my passion for making a difference, and I am honored to carry forward the legacy of those who have built this foundation over the past 50 years. Together, with our dedicated board, supporters, and volunteers, we will continue to expand our reach and impact, ensuring that CMF thrives for generations to come."
